As you embark on this exciting journey, we want to introduce you to Dr. Angela Riccelli, an assistant professor and an esteemed member of the faculty for 7 years whose expertise and dedication greatly enrich our program.
Dr. Riccelli brings a wealth of experience to our department in the field of speech-language pathology. With nearly 25 years of practice, she has worked extensively in clinical settings, specializing in pediatric speech and language disorders. Her commitment to advancing the field is reflected in her research focus on core language intervention, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and interprofessional practices.
Her recent publications in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Applied Disciplines and ASHA Leader Live demonstrate her ongoing contributions to the academic community and her dedication to staying at the forefront of research. Notably, Dr. Riccelli’s 2023 publication regarding parent education and early language development in our field’s largest and leading publication of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association: ASHA Leader Live has a significant impact factor in that there have been 3,057 downloads (one of the most downloaded ASHA Leader Live articles of 2023) and numerous citations despite only being in print for a few months.
