Students are invited to participate in GovState's 1st Annual Campus Sexual Misconduct Climate Survey, which will run from April 1, 2024 - May 5, 2024.
The purpose of the Survey is to provide information about behaviors and perceptions that current students have related to GovState. Participants are asked to complete a questionnaire concerning: relationships, sexual experiences, experiences with dating violence, and perceptions about safety at GovState during the last twelve months.
- All information provided in the Survey will be anonymous and confidential.
- Participants can enter weekly drawings to win a GovState Swag Bag or Visa Gift Card.
- Invitations to access the Survey will be sent by email on April 1st.
The Survey is an important tool GovState will use for understanding and addressing the campus climate with regard to sexual harassment and sex misconduct. Each student's participation in the Survey will help GovState to be more aware of what issues should be addressed and will help GovState craft the tools needed to address them.

Misconduct Campus Climate Survey annually. However, a student's participation is
voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time without penalty or prejudice. A participant will not be required to answer any
questions in the Survey and can choose to skip a question or select a
“prefer not to respond” option. Potential risks and/or discomforts a participant could
experience during this study include upsetting or distressing thoughts or
feelings when answering questions related to sexual assault victimization and
potential traumatic life events. If you
feel these topics will cause a trigger of a past negative situation, do not
take the Survey. The survey is not meant to cause anyone significant distress!
Reporting Sexual Misconduct
If you wish to report an instance of sexual or gender
harassment, dating or domestic violence, sexual assault/violence, or stalking,
contact GovState's Title IX Coordinator directly or submit a secure report for the Title IX Coordinator online through GovState’s Maxient system. The Maxient system is available 24/7 and allows for anonymous reporting. Contact and access information is available on GovState's Title IX webpage.
