Dr. Camille Graham-Humes Counseling Scholarship
The Dr. Camille Graham-Humes Scholarship for Master of Arts in Counseling Students was created in honor of her 20th year as a graduate of the Master of Arts in Counseling program. It is funded to support future counselors who desire to provide mental health services to young children and families.
Dr. Humes, who is also a graduate of the Doctorate of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision program at GSU, has spent the past twenty years serving as a Counselor, Infant Mental Health Consultant, and Educator. She is committed to the prevention of mental health issues in adulthood by working with young children and their families, training future counselors, educating the public about the impact of childhood experiences on adult functioning, and creating policy that will help to increase the accessibility of mental health services.
This scholarship, which includes a mentorship component, will further the work of the counseling profession by supporting students and increasing the awareness of early childhood mental health services.
