American Logistics Association Endowed Scholarship
Award: $1,000 – 3 available
Eligibility:
- Undergrad and graduate COB students in pursuit of a career in logistics, marketing, business management, or accounting; OR
- IDSS students with a minor in business, marketing or communications.
- Must be a veteran, active in the military, federal civil service employee, or be a dependent of a veteran with an honorable discharge or a dependent of a federal civil service employee.
- Must be a member of a household within a 50-mile radius of Chicago.
Documentation Required:- Essay (500 words) covering observance of restrictions, experience in logistics, business management or accounting, and academic/career aspirations in logistics/supply chain/distribution related field. Address your connection to the veteran, military or civil service community.

Dr. Daniel Bernd Endowed Scholarship in English Literature
Award: $1,000 – 5 available
Eligibility:- Must be seeking an undergraduate degree in English literature
- Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Demonstrated commitment to, and genuine success in, the study of English literature.
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
Documentation Required:
- Essay One (1) page: biographical describing your commitment to the study of English literature.
David Bernstein Endowed Scholarship in English
Award: $500 – 1 available
Eligibility: - Must be a junior, senior or graduate level degree seeking student majoring in English or English Education or MA, can be a student obtaining an ESL certificate in a different major.
- Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
Documentation Required: - Essay (500 words) describing qualifications, emphasizing your contributions to the English division through classroom participation and tutoring. If obtaining your ESL certificate in a different major please address this in the essay.
Drs. Lisa and Ming Chang Endowed Scholarship for Mathematics Education
Award: $1,000 – 5+ available
Eligibility: - Junior or senior GSU Student who are specializing in Mathematics Education; OR
- Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) graduate students with an area of concentration in Mathematics Education; OR
- Returning teacher seeking an Elementary or Middle School Endorsement in Mathematics; OR
- GSU degree seeking student in Special Education Program to be employed as a mathematics education interventionist; AND
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; AND

Dental Personnel Placement Service, Inc. Community Service Scholarship
Award: $500 – 1 available
Eligibility: - Must be a transfer student from Prairie State College’s Dental Hygiene Program
- Must be seeking an undergraduate degree in Science
- Must be a degree seeking student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours

Submit a copy of your essay (two pages – 1” margins) that was submitted for admission into the student teaching program that describes your Philosophy of Education, Mathematics Education. This paper reflects your beliefs about teaching and learning as developed during your coursework and during the student teaching experience. Your essay will be reviewed from the aspects of GSU Professional Education Unit’s conceptual framework addressing areas of knowledge, skills, and dispositions included in your paper. Your beliefs about mathematics teaching will also be reviewed.

Eligibility: - Must be an African-American student, at least 30 years in age
- Undergraduate degree seeking student in good academic standing with major in Interdisciplinary Learning
