Federal Work Study Community Service
Governors State University has partnered with the Community to offer our students off-campus Community Service employment through the Federal Work-Study Program!
GovState encourages students to pursue employment that is community service related, including internships. Studies show that these community service positions are a major contributor in the quality of life for area residents. Here is a list of some job categories that are considered community service: Healthcare, childcare, literacy training, education (including tutoring services), welfare, social services, transportation, housing and neighborhood improvement and public safety.
